Have you ever seen homesteading accounts and wondered if you could try to do some of those things to save money, but the more  you look into it, the more overwhelmed you get?
I have always been intrigued by the idea of saving money by making some things from scratch, but I don't have the time or money to be all in on in like I see a lot of homesteaders are.
When I first listened to Brittany Gibson's podcast where she shares about her Homestead Challenge, I knew I had to have her on the podcast because she teaches doable homesteading principles geared towards intentional living and finding contentment.
In this episode Brittany shares:
- How homesteading can save you money.
- What to start with if you're limited on time and money.
- How to incorporate this into your lifestyle when you have young kids.
And Brittany was so nice to share some of her resources with us:

Are you waiting to work on paying off debt, or getting your spending habit under control, or finally starting to save for the house you've always wanted?
Is waiting really the best move?
Maybe.
But there's one question you can ask yourself to find out.  I shared this quote from a podcast episode from my friend Alexis Greco of The Rhythm Reset Podcast.
Assuming it takes around 90 Days to achieve a goal and right now we're in January she said "are you ok with being the same person in April?"
Sometimes the answer my be yes because you have more important things to focus on.  But oftentimes, no.
You can listen to that episode of The Rhythm Reset Podcast HERE
If the idea of being in the same place financially come April makes your skin crawl, I want to invite you to join the Money Mindful Moms Club!

Raise a virtual hand if any of these are spending triggers for you:
- Certain stores (Target, Home Goods... hey Costco, I see you!)
- Certain apps (Amazon, Instagram, LTK... thanks influencers!)
- Specific emotions... happiness, sadness, everything in between.
Then I'm so happy you're here for this episode.  I'll be talking about an often overlooked resource that helps you stay the course when trying to change long standing behaviors and beliefs.

"I make good money, how come I have nothing left to pay off my debt or build up my savings?"
"I'm making more money now but that still doesn't seem to solve my debt problem."
Any of those sound familiar?  The truth is, more money doesn't = money problems solved.  And in today's episode I'm sharing the #1 reason I see this happen with the women I work with.
And I'm  not just here to talk about problems, I'm here to bring a solution.  So listen all the way through for what you can do about it if you want to make a change this year.
